HoHo?

Our church has a Lottie Moon offering every year for the missionaries.  This year, the poster has an Osama Bin Laden looking individual with a beard.  Ryelan pointed to him and said "Ho Ho".  Since she can't last through two services, Ryelan gets to run around the church with mommy while daddy goes to the service.  Each time Ryelan came across this poster, she pointed and said "Ho Ho!".  Daddy said "Now wouldn't that be a twist.....Osama Bin Laden is ACTUALLY Santa!"  Heheh!

coughy mc cougherson

Ryelan has had this cough for about 6 weeks now.  Mommy has called the doctor weekly and they just seem to brush it off.  Finally, mommy just went ahead and made an appointment without discussion.  Ryelan's doctor did a little exam and has concluded that she has a mild form of asthma.  She now has to take Singulair(not sure how to spell that), 5 days of steroids, and has a rescue inhaler for those coughing fits.  The Dr. thinks that the winter weather is making her cough worse.  He thinks that she should be better by springtime.  Also, with the lack of family history with asthma, he predicts that she should outgrow it in a year or so.  Keep her in your prayers!  It's not the worse thing that could happen but it still doesn't feel good to have her sick in ANY way shape or form :(

WHAT is that?

So every night after bathtime, mommy and daddy let Ryelan run around naked for 5 minutes or so.  She LOOOOVES to be naked!  She runs around cracking up.  Mommy and daddy think its pretty cute watching that little dimpled tushy jiggle too!  So one night while she was running nakey, mommy turned around for literally 30 seconds.  When she turned back around, there was a little nugget on the carpet.  WHAT is that???  Mommy was about to kill a kitty.  After a little investigating (by daddy), we discover that the present had indeed come from the sweet little cheeks of our little girl.  YUM!  So needless to say, the naked baby routine may have to be modified.......

I might as well add that we have a new word as well...........bite (as in I want one!)

PBJ

Mommy gave Ryelan her first PBJ (after extensive research all concluding that it should be ok).  Ryelan devoured it so fast she was literally panting!  Yay!  Easy meal for mommy to make! :)  Daddy was pretty upset he missed it.  Ooops :(

After the PBJ was gone, mommy gave Ryelan some pudding to eat all by herself.  She's been doing really well with the spoon and fork.  Mommy cleaned the kitchen while Ryelan ate.  At first glance, mommy was so impressed with Ryelan!  She seemed to be doing so well with the messy food.....not much on her face or shirt.  Then Ryelan turned her head........oops!  She had it ALLLLLL in her hair!!  Mommy got a good laugh out of it at least!

"Puppy!"

Our little lady has recently become obsessed with puppies.  She asks for the "puppy" everywhere we go.  During our most recent visit to Grandpa and Grandma Judiscak's she got to play with Aunt Kelsy's new puppy, Roxy.  Roxy is so cute and so good with Ryelan!

Grandpa Steve has some friends over to play cards.  Our little show off kept going to the gate to make a funny face and get some laughs.  And of course, she showed off some dance moves.

Dancing Queen

Our little Ryelan is OBSESSED with dancing!  She dances if you sing, clap, music is on, and sometimes if you just talk.  Ha!Ha!  During our most recent Wal-Mart trip, Ryelan was dancing to toys talking (i.e. Dora, Elmo, etc.)  PawPaw Glenn & I were like "Ryelan there is no music!"

Ryelan continues to be a pawpaw addict.  Sometimes when she wakes up she walks around whispering "pawpaw - pawpaw".  We do not DARE say his name in front of her because it always results in a meltdown with her running to the door crying "pawpaw!".  It's no wonder she is addicted to him because he just cannot say no to her!  PawPaw came over the other night (while it was dark out) and Ryelan kept making him go "outsigh".  PawPaw could not resist her requests!  After playing "outsigh" several times (in the dark) we all took a trip to Wal-Mart where PawPaw circled the "apples" for about 20 minutes as she demanded.  Ryelan also refused to be in the cart and forced PawPaw to carry her all through Wal-Mart.  The night ended in one worn out PawPaw!!!!

On the MawMaw front, Ryelan enjoys being held like a "baby".  MawMaw carries her around and tells people "awwww look at my baby".  Ryelan eats it up!  Mia also enjoys this game!  Nowadays if Ryelan finds a soft blanket she puts it to her cheek and lays her head on it & says "awwww baby."

New words since last post - help, cookie, RyeRye, hat, HoHo (Santa Clause)

New "tricks" - wiggle wiggle, jump(or attempt!), tippie toes, brrrrrr(shiver with her hands clasped), blows on food if hot, teeter totter (she's been doing this dance for awhile), walk backwards, spin in circles, points at familiar objects in books (kitty, puppy, balloon, pumpkin, baby, etc.)

All about the pawpaws......

Little Miss Ryelan LOOOOVES her grandparents - but expecially her pawpaws!  She is literally obsessed with them!

Ryelan likes PawPaw Glenn to bundle her up in his coat.  In fact, she requests it......  She points him to his coat so she can snuggle in there!  So sweet!

Cleanin up

Grandma Sue came over on Tuesday night & brought Ryelan an Elmo doll.  Within 2 minutes Ryelan had mastered his name & was saying it each time she saw him!  She is learning new words like CRAZY nowadays!

Mommy & Daddy cleaned the house while Grandma Sue played with Ryelan.  Grandma had a hard time keeping Ryelan away from the cleaning crew.  She was just sooooo interested in what mommy & daddy were doing!  Finally, mommy decided to give her a swiffer duster & Ryelan was so excited!  She walked around the house "swiffering" the walls and the floor saying "nononono".  We weren't really sure what the nonono was about, but it sure was funny to watch!!!

Thanks Grandma Sue for coming to play!  Now our house is sparkly clean! :)

Daddy's Day Off

Justin hasn't been feeling well the last few days but I convinced him to have fun on his day off (Veteren's Day). It ended up being a GREAT day!!!  We had so much fun!

We went to the zoo in the morning.  Grandma & Grandpa Wells "stalked" us & ended up at the zoo too!! :)  Afterwards, we all went to eat at Ginger Buffet.  That is always a good way to get Justin's spirits up!  I don't ever let us go eat Chinese because I don't like it, but since he has been sick, I made an exception!  Hehe!

After lunch, the grandparents came to our house & we played in the yard, rode our bike/bike trailer for the first time, and burned some leaves. It was so much fun!  When Justin got out the bike trailer, Ryelan was SO excited!  She kept trying to climb inside & was shouting "Weeee!"  Thanks so much Grandma Sue & Grandpa Grove for our bike and trailer!  What a great gift!!!

After playing outside, the grandparents left & we continued the fun inside. Ryelan has recently discovered all of the cabinets (wonderful) & pulled out EVERYTHING from under the kitchen sink!  She found all of our user manuals & brought a "boouh" to Justin to read!  It was so funny!  SO daddy read her the chainsaw manual.  Next, since Ryelan LOVES to dress up, Justin put his UNC sweatshirt on her & let her "prance" around the house!  Gosh I wish every day was this fun!!!!!!

She has been walking for about 7 weeks now & is just now starting to run a little. She is a "girly girl" (I think) so she is always very careful! :) Wonder where she got that from??? Probably daddy! He! He!

Well that is all I can think of to get us "up to speed" on where Miss Ryelan is right now! Gosh it is really hard to think of everything!!!!! I'm sure I missed some stuff!

Here we go......

So Ryelan is 13 months now & after reading Mia's blog for a few months, I've decided to create (& keep up with) a blog for Miss Ryelan so that she can look back on it one day.

So.............here we go!
